when the wine runs out . . .

so, I was at church this Sunday and was really moved by the message
i thought that some of you might appreciate some of the words that were spoken in God's name
the scripture was from Jesus miracle of turning water into wine
here is a synopsis . . .

what do you do when the wine runs out?

here are six actions based on John 2:1-12, it might help to read this to refresh your memory exactly

1. Stay - don't leave the party, STAY - perhaps in your context this means stay in the doctoral program, stay in the marriage, stay emotionally connected with your teenage son/daughter, stay at the job, stay in the small group, stay at the church, stay in the ministry…stay.
2. Invite – invite Jesus into your dilemma.
3. Turn – not only invite him in, but turn to Him, seek Him, ask Him.
4. Do – do what Jesus says, obey what the Word tells you
5. Ponder – ponder the nature of Jesus. Along with pondering I would add one more action:
6. Believe - believe Jesus is able to help. The nature of Jesus from this water to wine story is this: Jesus is a shame removing, miracle working, life giving, abundance out of nothing, kind of God. Jesus “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” (Ephesians 3:20).
