cruzzin' w/ the butterflies

so,
it's been awhile since i actually wrote because i've been busy messing with digital pictures
however, since i last wrote a lot has happened in my life (outside of vet school, that is, so as not to bore the average reader)
of course, the title is supposed to indicate something about what happened, but here's a brief rundown

1. attended a wild and crazy Halloween party on Friday night as a particular green Disney figure, yes, that's right folks, I was PETER PAN, one of my friends actually sewed my costume, her costume (captain hook) and another friend's costume (tinkerbell), and I have to say that for all you guys out there, tights are not as bad as they seem :)
2. drove to San Jose on Saturday morning to spend the weekend with Andrea
3. on Saturday afternoon, drove to santa cruz and visited Natural Bridges State Park, a beautiful preserve where millions of monarch butterflies congregate for the winter, also, the bridges refer to the way the ocean has carved out tunnels through the rock formations along the coast, really beautiful to see
4. had to dry Andrea's pants at a really ghetto laundromat because she got a little "close" to the water, we had a good laugh, of course, let's say that guys pants are not meant to be worn by women
5. after the pants were dry, ate dinner at a cool italian place called "Kianti's" where they throw pizza dough and dance for you periodically while you're eating
6. on sunday, drove back to santa cruz to attend "Vintage Faith," a really progressive church that was absolutely amazing, their worship band literally blew me away, and i didn't even know most of the songs, plus, the way that they incorporated arts into worship was especially effective, it was also great to be able to meet some people from dordt (Jeremy Geels and his new wife)
7. on monday morning, i made a presentation to about 50 2nd and 3rd graders at San Jose Christian School, i talked about veterinary medicine and brought a lot of cool bones and plastinated (real, but preserved) organs, i even had the humerus of an elephant! i think the kids had a great time and even learned a little in the process
8. got back to school monday afternoon just in time to take an anatomy test, which i totally aced! woohoo for vet school

anywho, i better wrap this up before i bore you too much
and, by the way, i think that the link for my vet school pics works now, so you can actually see the pictures i post without the aids of a magnifying glass!
well, time to study for another test

cheers,

myronius

Good to see that you an Andrea are still have some crazy times together. I might have to try the tights thing sometime also.

I'm glad your not being consumed by vet school and still finding time for fun, although I'm a little bit worried about the tights thing . . . :)
